Friday's Feast

I've decided to participate in some memes. so here is one from

Feast One Hundred & Twenty
Have you ever flown in a helicopter?

No. My husband was on a kick where he wanted to learn to fly a plane or a helicopter. I told him that it was a hobby for millionaires and to give it up. Really it just scared me, too. I'm not an adventurous type, unless you mean reading adventure books and watching adventure movies. I recently listened to Virgin's Richard Branson being interviewed about going into space, and he said that his parents and his children were going with him, but not his wife. He said that she was nervous to even fly on a plane, and I thought it was so interesting that such a wild, pranksterish daredevil would marry someone who's so....not.

What color is your warmest coat or jacket?

Black. It's a really boring, lame, plain Columbia that I bought at Marshall Field's a few years ago. I don't know what I was thinking, it doesn't have enough pockets - no inside pockets and no pockets with zippers or even velcro. It was a dumb purchase.

What is your favorite rainy day activity?

Well, same as my favorite every day activity, of course. Get some yummy snacks, put on comfy pajamas, curl up on the sofa or in bed with a book, knitting, the remote control, and a book on tape.

Main Course
Describe your hands.

Definitely working hands. They are my livelihood. When I was young I hated how short and stubby my fingers are. Now I don't mind. I bite my nails and am totally hands are as plain, unpainted, and unlady-like as the rest of me...

If you could eat only one nut for the rest of your life, what nut
would you pick?

Peanuts. I love peanuts, on ice cream, caramel apples, kung pow, i love peanut butter. Jack is currently allergic to peanuts [I am hoping he'll grow out of it], so I don't really get to have them, and I miss them a lot.

Your rainy day activity sounds good to me! And I am not interested in helicopter rides, either!
