Our First Christmas Card of the Year

yep, that's right, we already got our first Christmas card. James loved it so much, he didn't even uphold his "no Christmas cards before Thanksgiving" policy.

btw, i'm supposed to make up some cute anonymous name for my husband here, right? well, i'll have to think one up later when i'm not exhausted from getting up at 5am to sit in 30 degree weather for 9 or 10 hours. hopefully, at some point, you'll forget that i ever called him James here in the beginning...

thanks to everyone who came out shopping at the market today! don't forget to come tomorrow and wednesday for your last chances to get a fabulous set of table linens for your Thanksgiving dinner.

comet pendant on etsy

here's today's etsy listing - i love this - it's the "great comet of 1881". i think it's pretty gender neutral and would be a great one to give to a guy.

tonight's etsy listing

i am so excited that etsy is finally sort of working again [i'm still missing some images], that i listed another pendant.

I'm going to be doing GiftFest again this year. Please come and do some of your Christmas shopping in a warm, cozy building. I believe I'm going to be upstairs this year, instead of in the basement [I'll miss being next to the cookies...].

advice to parents of 2 year olds

when your husband says "hey, i bet our toddler would enjoy watching Monsters, Inc.", do not agree unless you want said toddler to spend every moment of every day either watching Monsters, Inc. or begging to watch Monsters, Inc. and you and said husband can recite the entire movie by heart.

(btw, we don't really let our kid watch tv constantly, just letting you know cause i know most of you don't really know me and might not realize this post is, you know, meant to be amusing.)
