awwwwww

awwwwwww

I'm too tired to write anything for you tonight...but here's a super cute picture of Archie boy sleeping.

Today was a beautiful perfect day at the Ann Arbor Farmer's Market, and I took advantage of the sun to take pictures of some brand new placemats and tablerunners for Etsy...be sure to watch for them over the next week or two. :)

Ocean Queen-size Quilt on Etsy

by the way, this is a queen-sized quilt on a KING-sized bed...on a queen-sized bed, it will reach about 10 inches down on each side.

This is actually the first quilt I've managed to put online this year. Although you wouldn't know it from looking at my sold items on Etsy [I've only sold one there so far], I put quite a few quilts up last year but always had to take them down when I sold them at the farmer's market. That may very well happen to this one, too, but it's up for now...so if you love it, snap it up while you can. :)

Donkeys

Martha Stewart just got 2 miniature donkeys for her birthday. Hey, I want to get donkeys for my birthday this year, too. They can live in the back yard. Yeah.

My grandma grew up on a farm, so once I asked her, if she was on "Make A Deal", and she won a pig, would she be happy and take it home? She said no.

Monkey with Banana Pendant on Etsy

Here's tonight's etsy listing:

This monkey is an image I created in fabric and then photographed, so he is very dear to my heart. He would love to come hang around your neck. :)

sometimes google is funny

my macbook is plagued with troubles...i think i have one of the "lemons". i just googled "my macbook shuts down when the battery goes below 30%" and google said

"do you mean your *matchbook* shuts down when the battery goes below 30%?"

yes, google, that's what i meant. my *matchbook*. hahahaha.

my ironing board

my ironing board

My ironing board makes such a wonderful portable, adjustable height table. It even has a little shelf under the board to hold what I'm working on. I have the oversized one from Target...as you can see, it's seen a lot of use, the cover is pretty brown from ironing tons of cotton fabric with steam. I drag it back and forth across the room and even up and down the stairs, I use it standing up and sitting on the bed, for ironing and painting and whatever else needs to be done.

How do I get all of my work done with a 2-year-old around? Some of you have probably heard me say "I sew when Jack is with my husband or my mom, I iron when he's napping, and I pin when I'm at market." The bedroom is my work station when Jack is napping on the sofa. I love sitting on the bed, ironing napkins or placemats and watching a movie on the tv. I always have a huge bin of napkins that are cut out but need to be ironed and then top-sewn. There's something peaceful about knowing that I will just iron for as long as the baby is asleep, I don't have to worry about getting them all done. It's one of my favorite parts of the day.

Crash

crash

"Mommy, Mommy, look, there's a big crash! Weeee-oooooo, weeeee-oooooo!"

"Oh, wow, did that car crash and fly up into the air and land on top of all the other cars?!"

"No, Mommy, I just picked it up and put it there on top!"
